John Leguizamo

It takes only one John Leguizamo to fill an entire stage. If you've seen "Freak" or any other of semi-autobiographical shows by the passionate and uninhibited actor, you know what the reviewer was talking about. "John Leguizamo Live," which plays tonight and tomorrow at the Times-Union Center's Terry Theatre, is not a stand-up routine, but rather a one-man show in the style of Leguizamo's four previous ones: Along with "Freak," there was "Mambo Mouth," "Spic-O-Rama" and "Sexaholix ... A Love Story."  

This third "Ice Age" adventure anyway, which finds Sid the sloth (John Leguizamo), Manny the mammoth (Ray Romano) and Diego the sabre-toothed tiger (Denis Leary) in an underground jungle full of dinosaurs.  

This is the third and barely-more-than-middling-funny installment in the series of animated features about the prehistoric adventures of Manny (voice of Ray Romano), Diego (Denis Leary) and Sid (John Leguizamo), a woolly mammoth, saber-toothed tiger and ground sloth stuck in a snow-bound world.  

It's perfectly fair to ask if Ice Age 's introduction of dinosaurs shows an udder disdain for any sense of chronological integrity.  

Manny ( Ray Romano ), Sid ( John Leguizamo ), Ellie ( Queen Latifah ), Diego ( Denis Leary ) and the gang return for a third installment, and this time they uncover an underground world of dinosaurs that everyone thought was extinct.

(2009, Fox; 93 minutes) The best of the three "Ice Age" films introduces a masterstroke that essentially allows the series to take place anywhere: There is a land beneath the surface of the Earth, you see. . . .
